From a Great Year to a Greater One: Our 2026 Vision

Lebone Litho shares its 2026 vision, building on a transformative year. In this post, we discuss:

  • How digital updates drive growth.
  • Our merger expands Johannesburg’s reach.
  • Sustainability and how it shapes future print standards.
  • Partnerships that fuel client excellence.

In 2025, we grew 38%. For 2026, we’re switching on 1.2 MW of solar and aiming for carbon-neutral print. This is the next step for our clients and South African manufacturing. Here’s what it means for your print buying.

Founded On Two Decades of Ubuntu

For twenty years, Lebone Litho has built its reputation on quality and reliability in Gauteng, growing from a local operation to a major force. We are driven by Ubuntu — the belief that we succeed only when our community and clients succeed.

This core value informs every major business decision, including our goal to remain Johannesburg’s only 100% Black-owned printing company running both high-speed web and B1 sheetfed presses in one place.

After a brilliant 2025, which saw the Uniprint merger wrap up, the acquisition of a new Fujifilm JetPress, and a turnover jump of 38%, we are setting the plan for the next decade of South African print.

Here are some of the Milestones we’ve reached in 2026

#1 — Carbon-Neutral Sheetfed Production

We’re putting in 1.2 MW of solar and moving the remaining presses to plant-based inks and alcohol-free wash solutions. Our 2026 plan emphasises earth-friendly materials and waste reduction, which align with the SA market growth.

Our Goal: going carbon-neutral for all Heidelberg and Fujifilm sheetfed work by December 2026, making us the first printing services provider in Gauteng to hit this point.

#2 — AI-Driven Workflow

New ideas are moving fast. Heidelberg Prinect AI will automatically send jobs, guess press setup times within 3 minutes and cut setup waste by another 18%.

It predicts potential errors and colour shifts before they happen, lowering the need for manual checks. This is vital for complex jobs like variable-data security printing, where even tiny flaws risk the entire run. This quick change helps meet Gauteng’s need for efficiency with variable data, making sure we stay ahead of the game.

#3 — Same-Day Johannesburg Metro Delivery

A new delivery fleet and a bigger City Deep warehouse mean central Johannesburg clients get finished work the same day for runs up to 50,000 units – a service no other printer in the province can currently match.

This isn’t just about growth; it’s Ubuntu in action, lifting clients, staff and the community. From print packaging to annuals, we are proving that printers in South Africa can set the global standard.

Our 2026 plan is to invest in the best technology, protect the environment and pour even more energy into our clients’ success. We look forward to building another great year together.
